Regina Spektor and her family emigrated from the former Soviet Union when she was a child and settled in the New York City area. Mandy Patinkin, Tony and Emmy award-winning actor, will emcee our celebration, as well as sing on the National Mall in honor of Israel’s 60th birthday! Star of Broadway stage and screen, Patinkin has acted in over 20 films since 1978 and has been involved in numerous television shows, recently including Criminal Minds on CBS from 2005-2007.

Mashina

Mashina is probably the greatest Israeli pop-rock bands of all. There were more original bands, more revolutionary ones, but none had endured for ten years and eight albums, with continuous change, development and progress in its music, writing and live performance. Their work is inspired by many of their favorite musical genres… but still creates a very unique sound that is extremely Israeli
